This fire steel was developed by Kupilka and Karu Survival – a Finnish training company specializing in bushcraft and survival. The generously sized fire steel produces sparks that reach temperatures of up to 3000 degrees.

Recycling and minimal waste in production

This product has been largely made from materials that are recycled in one way or another. The striker that you rub against the fire steel to create sparks is a residual product from the metal industry. The leather cord is made of pure leather and is ethically produced in the EU.

Handle made of Careline – 8mm thickness

The handle of the Kupilka Firesteel 8 (the 8 indicates that the thickness of the steel is a full 8mm) provides a good grip even with gloves. The composite material Careline consists of 50% wood fiber and 50% recycled plastic – durable and lightweight. Available in several colors, making it easy to keep track of the family's different steels!
