Small details have been changed from the original model, but the essence and core idea remain. The handles are made of solid pieces of titanium (6AL-4V) with a matte, stonewashed finish. Between the scales are green anodized titanium standoffs – a detail that reduces weight and enhances the design. The open back makes the knife easy to clean. The blade is 3.5 mm thick, made of CTS-XHP with a matte finish and saber grind. One-handed opening via Spyderco's signature – the Spydie hole. When opened, the blade is locked with a very stable framelock.

Deep carry wireclip and lanyard hole

The Techno 2 is equipped with a deep carry wireclip that is reversible – it works equally well in the right or left pocket, or can be removed completely. The knife also has a through-hole for paracord, leather cord, lanyard, or safety line.
