QSP Knife Penguin V2 D2 Micarta – the second version of a legendary fantastic EDC knife in D2 steel and green micarta handles!

The QSP Penguin quickly made a name for itself as an incredibly affordable and nimble high-quality EDC knife that offers tremendous bang for the buck!

V2 Update – Ceramic Ball Bearings

Now it's time for version 2, where they wisely chose to retain 99% of the knife's DNA. The small but welcome change is that they've transitioned from copper washers to ceramic ball bearings. The same fantastic knife, but a bit smoother in opening and closing.

As with most Penguin variants, this version also features a blade made of D2 steel. A very popular and beloved steel that slowly develops its own patina over time. The Sheepsfoot blade shape is a blade that works for most tasks with its perfectly straight edge.

The handles are made of green micarta, not only our but also our customers' absolute favorite when it comes to both material and color! A handle material that only gets better and better the more it is used.

Works equally well for right- and left-handed users

One of the reasons this knife model has become immensely popular is its smooth opening and closing. Since it has a pass-through thumbstud, it doesn't matter if you are right- or left-handed. To make opening even smoother than it already was in the first version, the Penguin is now equipped with ceramic ball bearings.

The lock is a liner lock. When unfolded, the blade is locked, which makes the knife significantly safer to use than a knife without a lock. On the spine of the knife, there is jimping – grooves that provide a better grip for the thumb or index finger when working and applying a little pressure to the blade.

Stainless deep carry clip

The QSP Knife Penguin V2 is equipped with a removable stainless steel deep carry clip that can be moved between sides – the knife is carried tip up. A substantial rectangular hole for attaching a lanyard/lanyard for those who wish.
