From the factory, the pen has a protective layer of clear lacquer; if you want a quicker patination, you must polish this off. This can be done with very fine wet sandpaper, or you can take it a step further and completely change the surface with a stonewash, like the example among the product images.

What is it that makes this little pen such a resounding success that never seems to fade?
Well, it's perfect as an EDC as it's easy to carry in your pocket with its modest length of 9.5 cm.
Remove the cap and place it on the other end of the pen body, and your small pen becomes a full-sized pen with a length of 13.3 cm, which is more comfortable to write with.

The secret behind the pen's ability to work in dismal environments is its pressurized ink cartridge. With use in space as the goal, no expense or knowledge was spared. It is probably best known for working flawlessly upside down without the ink stopping its flow or running backward.
You can essentially write on any surface, it works underwater, on shiny and oily surfaces, wet paper, photos, decals, greasy surfaces, etc. It can be used in temperatures ranging from -35°C to extreme heat +120°C!
