Atwood Rope MFG Parapocalypse 625 Paracord

Atwood Rope MFG Parapocalypse 625 Paracord is not like the paracord you're usually used to; here, they've taken it a few steps further and created something of a survival kit in thread form! It has a breaking strength of a full 625 pounds, which equals 283 kilograms.

As the name hints, this is a cord that can truly come in handy if things get apocalyptic.

Atwood Rope MFG Parapocalypse 625 Paracord contains the following strands:

• 7 nylon strands (the same as found in regular 550 paracord)
• Fishing line for fishing (10lb breaking strength)
• Dyna X-thread – thin but extremely strong line that doesn't burn. Very good for many uses, not least for sewing/repairing tough fabric or building traps/snares.
• Waxed jute twine that acts as tinder when starting a fire.

The cord with these extra inner lines has a slightly higher tensile strength than regular 550 cord, a full 626 lbs.

NOTE! Since this cord contains a component designed for starting a fire, you should NOT melt the ends of the cord with fire. These should instead be glued as a finish, otherwise you risk starting a difficult-to-extinguish fire.
