POLISHING CLOTHS

Polishing cloths are probably the softest tool we have in the shop – but don't underestimate them, quite the opposite!

Keeping your knives and tools clean and dry is highly relevant if you want to use your items for a long time. Most are made of microfiber, a gentle material that is perfect for polishing and buffing.

Polishing cloth to ALWAYS wipe away moisture, dirt, and fingerprints from your knife

Everyone knows that moisture causes iron to rust – but how harmful can a fingerprint be? It's not as devastating as rust, at least not when it comes to pure function. But the grease from our fingers can cause stains that won't come off – you could say that fingerprints burn on. This is particularly noticeable when it comes to metals that have been treated with oxidation or a layer of paint/anodization. So if you're not already doing it – make sure to wipe both the blade and the handle clean after use. Because a burnt-in thumbprint is not a pretty sight on an otherwise excellent knife or pair of pliers!

Washing instructions

Polishing cloths work hard with dirt and grease and need cleaning themselves regularly. If these are to be washed in a washing machine, it should be at a low temperature and without fabric softener. A simple and quick hand wash in the sink works perfectly – wet the cloth, put a little dish soap on your finger and lather up a foam. Make sure all the dish soap is rinsed out and hang it to dry – done!
