Its weight is low thanks to the handles, which are made from the composite material FRN – Fiber Reinforced Nylon. These are two very strong materials that don't weigh much – a perfect combination for light carrying and high durability.

The VG-10 blade is manufactured in one of the world's best places for knife blades – Seki City in Japan. The steel is well-known when it comes to knife blades, and the edge has a full flat grind. Like all other sensible knives, this one also has jimping on the spine – a pattern that provides excellent grip and control when working with it, especially when wearing gloves.

One-hand opening and back lock

Regardless of whether you're right-handed or left-handed, the one-hand opening is easy with the thumb hole. The same applies to the locking mechanism – it doesn't matter which hand you use, as it's a back lock located on the Delica's spine.
