The SOG Survival Hawk has been a top choice for the SLIMS.SE crew since the store started. Definitely a tool we think everyone should have in their home emergency kit or Bug Out Bag! The Survival Hawk is a very capable, lightweight, tactical axe with multiple functions for survival scenarios.

Spike, hammer, and nail puller

In addition to the axe blade, the Survival Hawk has a spike for, for example, breaking glass. The spike's groove has several functions – it can be used to pull nails and also to cut wire, steel wire, and barbed wire in fences. The axe can also be used as a hammer with the flat surface between the blade and the spike.

Paracord wrapping and built-in fire starter

The handle of the SOG SurvivalHawk is wrapped with paracord, which, in addition to providing a good grip, can also come in handy if you, for example, need to build a trap in the wilderness. The axe has a full tang and is equipped with a fire starter that screws into the handle. The fire starter is long and thin and designed to fulfill its function while taking up minimal space. Tip: hold so that as little of the fire starter as possible is stressed – distribute the pressure to the tip of the fire starter to avoid the risk of breaking it.

Smart sheath

Comes with a smart nylon sheath that is angled backward – making it easy to carry the tomahawk on your belt without it getting in the way!
