You can glue it to your knife, knife sheath, cooler - you name it!
The only thing to keep in mind is that whatever you attach it to should not be magnetic, as this will interfere with the compass. However, this is easy to check before you start gluing. If the compass starts spinning and changing direction when it gets close to what you have in mind, it won't work well.

Of course, it works just as well to keep it loose in your pocket, in the EDC kit in the car, or really anywhere it might be good to have available.
