The idea behind the Maratac Key Titan Titanium Carabiner is for your keys to hang in a neat and tidy row. Depending on the thickness of the keys, it holds about five keys. The bottom is flat, and the small protruding part is to prevent the keys from sliding off to the side.

The O-ring dampens movements, keeps the keys in place, and thus eliminates annoying jingling.
