Higonokami Folding Knife Brass - Folding Knife Made of Blue Paper Steel Carbon Steel and Brass Handle
Higonokami Folder Brass, a timeless folding knife that should be in everyone's knife collection!
Higonokami Folder Brass - a knife shaped by generations
The Higonokami Folder Brass is the classic Japanese folding knife in its purest form – a design that has lived on for generations without needing to change. Simple, functional, and timeless.
Blue paper steel – a steel that holds an edge
The blade is forged from blue paper steel, a high-carbon steel that can be sharpened to an incredibly keen edge. Carbon steel is a living material; it needs care and maintenance to prevent rust. So make sure to wipe the knife clean after use, keep it dry, and if it's to be stored for an extended period, it should be kept dry and preferably oiled.
The knife is opened with the small lever that is part of the blade's construction. The lever also functions as a thumb rest during use – a clever and well-thought-out grip that prevents the blade from closing. This model is called 10L and is a size that can best be described as "just right". The handle is 9.8 cm, or 10.8 cm long including the lever. When unfolded, it measures 17.1 cm.
Brass handle that ages gracefully
The handle of the Higonokami Folder Brass is formed from a single piece of folded brass. Over time, it develops a unique patina – a living surface that makes each knife personal and unlike any other. The more you use it, the more beautiful it becomes. Of course, you can also polish it if you want it shiny!
Practical lanyard hole for more personalized carrying
At the base of the handle, there is a through-hole – perfect for a paracord lanyard or a classic leather thong. The knife becomes easier to retrieve from your pocket and at the same time becomes more personal depending on what lanyard you choose!
