WHISTLES

Whistles are something everyone should have in their EDC!
Always having a whistle at hand is something we truly advocate. Regardless of who you are or where you are, it's always a wise piece of equipment – especially in your survival kit. A small item that doesn't weigh much and doesn't cost much to acquire, but which can be the difference between life and death. It's hard to find a simpler way to get the attention of those around you – all you need is your own breath.

Attracting attention – harder than you think

Getting attention in today's society is actually harder than you might think. Unfortunately, screaming is a sound that is quite normalized. What's needed is a sound that breaks the normal – and that's where the whistle's strength lies. It's a loud sound strongly associated with the need to stop and investigate. A whistle is just as invaluable in an assault as in an accident or when you've gotten lost in the terrain.

Whistles of different materials

Common to all our whistles is that they are loud and easy to keep clean. A plastic whistle is more pleasant on the lips when it's really cold outside. A metal one (for example, titanium) is even more durable. Choose the material that best suits your use.

Not a toy

One thing that cannot be stressed enough – a whistle is not a toy! The storm whistle can reach a sound intensity of up to 120 decibels – a volume that can permanently damage hearing, even with short exposure.
