You usually carry important and expensive EDC items – these tools must be well taken care of so they work when needed. With an organizer or pouch, you always know WHAT you have and WHERE you have it. You avoid annoying scuffs and rattles, and with an EDC organizer, everything is always ready until it's time to use your gear.

It's common to have a small basic kit with the items you use most. Based on these, you choose an organizer size that works for daily use – usually a smaller one that fits in your pocket or jacket. Then you might have a slightly larger version with items you don't use all the time, in your bag or car. Many put together a fire-starting kit, a tool kit for a bike, or their own first aid kit. Many organizers have a Velcro panel on the front so you can attach a patch and quickly locate the right kit.

Expand your bag with MOLLE

Many backpacks and bags have a MOLLE panel on the outside so you can carry more. With an organizer with MOLLE webbing on the back, you can quickly "expand" your bag with more compartments without taking up valuable space inside. Being able to quickly access your first aid kit, flashlight, or tools without having to repack your bag is always a good idea.
