The simplest variant is a slip (pronounced 'slip') which is like a small pocket without a lid.
But there are also variants that are a bit more advanced, with multiple compartments where you can carry other accessories, a flashlight, or another gadget.
There are also different solutions for how your case can be carried.
Some cases are designed to be threaded onto a belt, while others can be attached to your belt but also fastened to a MOLLE panel.
