Beads are very popular accessories for many people's EDC. A bead is a simple way to give your Everyday Carry a personal look and at the same time a few more uses!

What is a bead?

Bead is English, and translated into Swedish it means pärla (pearl).
The shape and material vary, but in this context, when we talk about EDC beads, they are often made of titanium, brass, copper, or Ultem.

What are beads used for?

Beads are primarily decorative, but also work as part of the grip when attached to a lanyard.
It's an easy way to make your equipment a bit more stylish and also works for marking up, for example, different family members' gear.

Alternative uses for beads

As always, only imagination and creativity limit what you can use your items for!
Some examples of what you can do with your EDC bead are:

• use your bead as a plumb bob with the help of a string, fishing line, thread, or really anything.
• use it as a sinker if you need to add some weight to, for example, a piece of paracord that needs to be lowered.
